The post described me as the Jack Kerouac of South Shields. Now, being a huge Kerouac fan I found the comparison humbling but mainly it just fed my ego for a short while causing the hangover to retreat faster than the French.
I am addicted to travelling, hence Brendan's comparison, and in six days I will be boarding a flight from Newcastle Airport and, after a couple of stops in Holland and China, I will be stepping off in Taipei.
The reason, of course, is a girl. When isn't that the reason. Kate's visa ran out so we have been forced to move from the cosmopolitan streets of Leith to the psychotic streets of Eastern Asia.
I plan on writing my next book there, so far called 'Checking Out' It's going to be a travel book and hopefully a great one.
Kate has rented an apartment in the centre of the city and as you can tell by the picture the ceilings are pretty low, she's only 5' 2" and I'm 6' 2". I'm going to have a lot of bumps on my head.
I don't know about you other Wee Voices but my mind gets excited about experiences that I can use when i'm writing and now I'm really excited about the wonderful things I am soon to encounter in Taiwan.
And as long as there is no objections I'm going to keep the world updated via my Wee Voices blog.
Wish me luck.
