I make no apologies.
The setting is a Dyson Sphere and I had to think of the implications of living in a concave world rather than the convex one we’re used to/ The sun is always overhead and that has implications, how can you have a night? Because surprisingly plants need periods of darkness. Also life on our planet is adapted for day and night and in temperate zones for summer and winter, so we’d need seasons as well.
And if the sun is always overhead, rainbows would be very rare, an aspect that is developed in my stories.
So a lot of the sci-fi comes from the structure of the Sphere and the implications.
So there, it’s Sci-fi, but … at the core of the story is though is the relationship between the two main characters and a will they won’t they question, which the resolution of may surprise some readers, though hopefully some will have worked out what is going on.
