I’ve not done a post for a while, but here’s what’s happening in my world.
In a moment of rare synchronicity, my work gave me a super cheque for £50, which got converted into Amazon vouchers. Also I was invited to join ‘Phantom book swap’, now what happens here is you promise to buy other people’s books and they buy yours. Everybody’s books gets more exposure and perhaps there are more sales.
So guess what I spent my Amazon voucher on?
Well some of it, because I forgot that you have to put the voucher in first, as there is no checkout for kindle books.
So I’ve sold 23 or 24 copies of my book and bought 32 kindle books. Why the discrepancy you may ask? Either mistakes or people are cheating.
Number two on things happening, is The Booktrap. (http://thebooktrap.weebly.com) the everyone help promote each other’s book website and group that I’m a member of, is having a magazine article about one of the books and somehow, I’m not sure how, mine has been selected, so hopefully. There will be more publicity for it there.
And finally, Zazzle.co.uk, you can set up shops for your merchandise. I have recently made a mug with my book cover on (photo attached), so now I’m creating a shop so fans (if I ever get any) can buy stuff.
Or you may want to set up your own shop, it is quite easy once you spot the 'Post for Sale' button
Currently, there is a mug, playing cards and a mousemat for sale. The picture isn’t quite high enough resolution for the tea towel.
And I need more pictures, but the only other one I could do is the Spanish language mock up cover I did.
