Thought provoking, yes, but undeniably worthy of the title 'short story'.
The article has stayed with me for all these years, and now, believing myself to be something of a writer, I've come up with the world's shortest novel.
In the form of a question, and some thirteen characters in length, ( the question mark being one of those characters), the title is shorter than my name.
Now, I don't think for one minute that Mr McStoryteller himself, Brendan Gisby, would ever consider publishing such an outrageous tome. The author profile, McStorytellers logo and my own name attached would render the piece wordier than the claim makes sensible.
So, I aim to make it my epitaph, to be used either on my retirement from writing, (do writers ever retire?), or, on my demise. At four words long. I believe I've written the world's shortest novel.
